Restoration

Restoration is the process of extending the life of a roofing system through a series of actions that will bring it to its original condition or better without having to replace it completely. Restoring a roof extends its useful life of the system reducing the life cycle cost and minimizing occupant disruption and risk.

Depending on the type of roof system, either a new flood coat or a reflective coating can be applied to the surface. There are different types of coatings: Silicon Coatings, Urethane Coatings, Acrylic Coatings and Aluminum coatings. In most cases, reinforcement of the flashings at perimeters and penetrations is required as well as any necessary repairs to the field of the roof membrane. Regardless, the cost of restoring is usually a fraction of the cost of replacement. In addition, the carbon footprint of the building owner is reduced by eliminating the need to send the roof membrane to a landfill.

There are economic incentives from the utility companies for applying approved reflective coatings on your roofs as long as the work is performed by an approved contractor. Let us help you take advantage of these incentives.
